Giving Back | 1 US$ initiative
For each bamboo bottle sold we give 1 US $ to our rainwater filtration and solar energy projects in Vietnam
not just bamboo's mission is to reduce the global use of plastic polluting products by producing unique handmade one-piece bamboo products, by supporting local families through occupational opportunities, and lastly provide safe drinking water in remote schools, factories and villages of Vietnam.
not just bamboo Giving Back Initiative
We have from November 2017 till December 2018 built 12 electricity free, self-sustaining and sustainable rainwater filtration projects in Vietnam. Those projects have provided 3000 students, teachers and families access to safe and clean drinking water in Vietnam.
In early March 2018 the Vietnamese Government together with Share Tech, a local solar company asked not just bamboo to help build 3 Rainwater Filtration projects on Con Co island in July 2018.
After months of planning and preparation the not just bamboo team completed three self-sustaining and electricity-free rainwater systems on July 23-25.

SECONDARY SCHOOL PROJECT / NORTHERN VIETNAM
The first not just bamboo Water Filtration Project was completed at a rural secondary school in Northern Vietnam on November 22, 2017. We re-directed the rainwater from the school's gutters into our piping and tank system, making it electricity free and self-sustaining.
The system will provide clean drinking water to 226 kids, 15 teachers and the management. It will save the school Vietnamese Dong 48,000,000 / USD 2,400 a year from buying plastic bottled water.
REMOTE FACTORY PROJECT
The second not just bamboo Water Filtration Project was completed at one of not just bamboo's partner factories in Vietnam on November 23, 2017. We installed gutters on the local dormitory building to harvest the rainwater in our piping and tank system, making it electricity free and self-sustaining.
The project will provide drinking water to 200 workers and its management and save the factory Vietnamese Dong 80,000,000 / USD 4,000 a year from buying plastic bottled water.
KINDERGARDEN PROJECT / NORTHERN VIETNAM
The third not just bamboo Water Filtration Project was completed at a remote Kindergarden in northern Vietnam on November 27, 2017. We used the already installed gutters, but re-directed the rainwater, which our system will filtrate and provide clean drinking water to 700 kids, 35 teachers and its management.
The project will save the kindergarden Vietnamese Dong 150,000,000 / USD 7,500 a year from buying plastic bottled water.
